Farmers Market at Meerendal
The farmers food market that Meerendal Wine Estate introduced in 2010 has proved to be very popular. It takes place on the second Saturday of every month and runs from 09:00 till 14:00. There is a wide selection of goods and foods available: fresh farm bread, pesto and olives, homemade pies, preserves, free range eggs, fresh beef and mutton from a farm butchery, cheeses, honey, waffles, biltong and droëwors, rusks, freshly baked cakes, fudge, garden plants and many more. There are pony rides and a jumping castle for kiddies entertainment too.
